Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Complete ACA is a dehydrated, tri-layer human amniotic membrane allograft consisting of amnion, chorion, and a second layer of amnion (ACA). Developed by Legacy Medical Consultants, it is utilized as a biological skin substitute or wound cover for the management of chronic, non-healing wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers (DFU), venous leg ulcers (VLU), and pressure ulcers (PU). The allograft provides a natural extracellular matrix (ECM) scaffold that facilitates cellular attachment and proliferation. It also retains essential endogenous growth factors and cytokines that modulate the inflammatory environment and promote tissue regeneration. Complete ACA is processed to maintain the structural integrity of the tissue while ensuring safety and sterility for clinical application in wound care centers.
