Overview
Complex Phytoadaptogens (CFA) is a botanical combination therapy developed by the Vladikavkaz Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It consists of 70% alcohol extracts of *Glycyrrhiza glabra* (Licorice), *Rhodiola rosea* (Golden Root), and *Eleutherococcus senticosus* (Siberian Ginseng) in a 2:1:1 ratio. The therapy is investigated as an adjunct to non-surgical periodontal treatment (NSPT) for patients with chronic periodontitis. CFA functions as an adaptogen, enhancing the body's non-specific resistance to stressors and modulating the immune-inflammatory response. A key feature of its clinical application is chronotherapy, where the timing and dosage of the oral drops are adjusted based on the patient's individual chronotype (morning, independent, or evening) to maximize therapeutic efficacy during disease exacerbations.
