The Component DTaP Vaccine is a third-generation acellular pertussis combination vaccine developed by Chongqing Zhifei Biological Products (IPS/Zhifei). It is designed to provide protection against whooping cough (pertussis), diphtheria, and tetanus. Unlike traditional co-purified DTaP vaccines, this formulation utilizes component-purified antigens, including diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, and specific acellular pertussis antigens. This approach allows for more precise control over the antigen composition, potentially enhancing safety and immunogenicity. The vaccine works by inducing protective antibody-mediated immunity against *Bordetella pertussis*, *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*, and *Clostridium tetani*.
