Drug intelligence / Profile preview
COMPOUND 6 is a small molecule inhibitor of Traf2- and Nck-interacting kinase (TNIK) being developed by Curadev for the treatment of liver fibrosis and metabolic disorders. TNIK is a member of the Ste20-like kinase family and a key component of the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway, which plays a central role in the activation of myofibroblasts and the progression of tissue fibrosis. By inhibiting TNIK, COMPOUND 6 aims to suppress fibrotic gene expression and modulate metabolic pathways associated with liver disease. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
