Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound 7f is a small molecule and a resynthesized derivative of belinostat, an established histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor. It has demonstrated potent antiproliferative activity against MOPC-315 myeloma cells, showing a 3.5-fold higher potency than belinostat. Furthermore, Compound 7f exhibits more potent inhibitory activity against histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) compared to belinostat. Preclinical studies have also shown a strong synergistic interaction when combined with the proteasome inhibitor bortezomib, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic agent for multiple myeloma.
