In preclinical in vitro studies using the MTT assay, compound 9b and its analogs demonstrated significant cytotoxic activity against prostate cancer (PC3 and DU-145), lung cancer (A549), and breast cancer (MCF-7) cell lines, with IC50 values in the micromolar range.
