Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound Ciwujia Granules and Guipi Granules are traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulations evaluated for the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). Compound Ciwujia Granules, developed by Heilongjiang Quanle Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., is a formulation derived from Ciwujia (*Eleutherococcus senticosus*), a medicinal herb known for its adaptogenic properties. It is specifically indicated for CFS patients presenting with spleen-kidney deficiency or heart-spleen deficiency syndromes according to TCM diagnostic criteria. Guipi Granules is a classic TCM formula used to tonify the heart and spleen. These two formulations were studied in a Phase 4, randomized, double-blind clinical trial (NCT06245642) where Compound Ciwujia Granules was compared against Guipi Granules as a positive control to observe improvements in fatigue as measured by the Chalder scale.
