Compound Danshen Dropping Pill (CDDP) is a traditional Chinese patent medicine formulation primarily composed of extracts from *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Danshen), *Panax notoginseng* (Sanqi), and Borneol. It is widely used in China for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, particularly coronary heart disease (CHD) and angina pectoris. The formulation exerts its therapeutic effects through multiple pathways, including antiplatelet aggregation, anti-inflammatory actions, and protection of the vascular endothelium. Clinical research, including studies conducted at West China Hospital, has evaluated its impact on heart and artery structure and function in patients with comorbid CHD and hypertension.
