Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound Danshen Dropping Pills is a Chinese patent medicine formula composed of three medicinal herbs: Salvia miltiorrhiza (Danshen), Panax notoginseng (Sanqi), and Borneol. The active pharmacodynamic substances consist mainly of phenolic acids (including tanshinol, protocatechualdehyde, salvianolic acids), saponins (notoginsenoside R, ginsenosides), and borneol. Salvianolic acids U and T are the characteristic active ingredients. The medication works by promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, regulating vital energy, and easing pain. It has been widely used for treating cardiovascular diseases, particularly coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, and high-altitude heart disease.
