Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound Danshen Soft Capsules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and marketed by Baiyunshan Hansen, a subsidiary of the Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Group. The product is composed of extracts from three primary ingredients: *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Danshen), *Panax notoginseng* (Sanqi), and Borneol (Bingpian). It is primarily indicated for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, specifically chest pain and distress caused by coronary heart disease and angina pectoris associated with blood stasis. The soft capsule formulation is designed to enhance the stability and bioavailability of the active constituents compared to traditional tablet forms. Pharmacologically, it works by promoting blood circulation, resolving blood stasis, and improving coronary blood flow, thereby protecting the myocardium from ischemic damage.
