Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound Digestive Enzyme Capsules II is an oral combination pharmaceutical product developed and manufactured by Changzhou Qianhong Biopharma for the treatment of digestive disorders. Marketed under the brand name Qianhong Yimei, the formulation consists of four active components: pepsin, pancreatin, cellulase, and ursodeoxycholic acid. Pepsin initiates protein digestion in the stomach, while pancreatin (containing amylase, lipase, and protease) facilitates the breakdown of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins in the alkaline environment of the small intestine. Cellulase assists in the digestion of plant-based fibers, and ursodeoxycholic acid acts as a choleretic to promote bile secretion and fat emulsification. This multi-enzyme approach is designed to alleviate symptoms of dyspepsia, such as bloating, loss of appetite, and postprandial fullness, by compensating for endogenous enzyme deficiencies.
