Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound Eucommia ulmoides Jiangu Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation primarily indicated for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA). The preparation is designed to tonify the liver and kidney, strengthen tendons and bones, and alleviate joint pain and stiffness. Its primary active component is derived from *Eucommia ulmoides* (Duzhong), a herb widely recognized in Chinese medicine for its osteoprotective, anti-inflammatory, and chondroprotective properties. The formulation is typically used to manage symptoms associated with degenerative joint diseases by supporting musculoskeletal integrity and reducing local inflammation. It is currently the subject of real-world Phase 4 clinical studies in China to further evaluate its safety profile and adverse event incidence in patients clinically prescribed the product for knee osteoarthritis.
