Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound Furong is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) combination product formulated as an effervescent suppository for vaginal administration. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of various types of vaginitis, including bacterial vaginosis (BV) and aerobic vaginitis (AV). The formulation typically consists of extracts from *Hibiscus mutabilis* leaf, *Sophora flavescens* root, *Phellodendron chinense* bark, and *Cnidium monnieri* fruit, often supplemented with borneol. These components work synergistically to provide broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi, and trichomonads, while also exerting anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effects. The effervescent formulation allows for rapid disintegration and uniform distribution of the active ingredients across the vaginal mucosa, facilitating the restoration of the vaginal microecological balance and alleviating symptoms such as discharge and irritation.
