Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound Huangbai Topical Solution (also known as Compound Huangbai Liquid or Fufang Huangbaiye Tuji) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) topical formulation. It is composed of five main herbal and animal ingredients: Cortex Phellodendri (Huangbai), Forsythia suspensa (Lianqiao), Lonicera japonica (Jinyinhua), Taraxacum mongolicum (Pugongying), and Scolopendra (Wugong). It is widely used in clinical practice for its broad-spectrum antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and tissue-regenerative properties. It is primarily indicated for treating various skin and soft tissue conditions, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, wound infections, acne, and postoperative wounds (such as mixed hemorrhoids and anal abscesses). The solution exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting bacterial growth (including MRSA), reducing inflammatory cytokines (such as TNF-alpha and IL-1beta), and promoting the secretion of growth factors (like EGF and TGF-beta1) to accelerate wound healing.
