Overview
Compound Huangqi tablets (Fufang Huangqi Pian) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation primarily composed of Astragalus membranaceus (Huangqi) along with other herbal ingredients. It is traditionally used in China to replenish qi, consolidate the exterior, and treat symptoms such as shortness of breath, palpitations, and spontaneous sweating. In clinical research, compound Huangqi tablets are being evaluated in combination with hypomethylating agents like decitabine for the treatment of intermediate- to high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) to improve hematopoiesis, boost immune function, and reduce treatment-related adverse effects.
