**Compound Kushen Injection** is a Chinese traditional-medicine herbal injection marketed as **Yanshu** by Shanxi Zhendong Pharmaceutical. It is a fixed two-herb aqueous-extract formulation derived from Kushen root (*Sophora flavescens*) and Baituling root (*Smilax glabra*), containing multiple bioactive constituents including matrine, oxymatrine, sophocarpine, oxysophocarpine, flavonoids, and other natural products. It is used in China as an adjunctive antineoplastic and supportive-care treatment, including alongside chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Its pharmacology is multicomponent and not attributable to one validated molecular target; reported preclinical effects include suppression of tumor-cell proliferation, migration, invasion and adhesion, apoptosis induction, immunomodulatory activity, and modulation of inflammatory signaling.
