Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound lactobacillus acidophilus is a combination probiotic formulation composed of four bacterial strains: Chinese strain Lactobacillus acidophilus, Japanese strain Lactobacillus acidophilus, Streptococcus faecalis (Enterococcus faecalis), and Bacillus subtilis. It is used as an intestinal flora regulator to treat disorders caused by dysbiosis such as mild acute diarrhea and functional bowel disturbances. The mechanism involves the breakdown of carbohydrates to produce lactic acid, which increases intestinal acidity and inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Clinical studies also suggest it can improve outcomes in Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy and relieve constipation by modulating gut microbiota composition[1][4][5][6].
