Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound Monoammonium Glycyrrhizinate S for Injection (also known as Compound Ammonium Glycyrrhizinate S, abbreviated CMGSI) is an approved injectable pharmaceutical product developed by Shanxi PuDe Pharmaceutical. The active ingredients include monoammonium glycyrrhizinate S (a beta-form ammonium salt of glycyrrhizic acid derived from licorice root extract), cysteine hydrochloride, and glycine. It is primarily indicated for liver diseases, specifically abnormal liver function and viral hepatitis (including hepatocyte protection and recovery of liver function), as well as toxic hepatitis, traumatic hepatitis, food poisoning, drug poisoning, and drug allergies. The drug exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiviral, and immunomodulatory properties, primarily mediated through the inhibition of HMGB1, 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (11β-HSD), phospholipase A2, and the NF-κB signaling pathway.
