Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound Pubescent Angelica and Indometacin (known in China as Fufang Duhuo Yinduomeixin) is a traditional Chinese medicine-Western medicine hybrid combination drug. It is formulated as an oral capsule containing a mixture of traditional Chinese herbal extracts—including Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis), Qianghuo (Radix et Rhizoma Notopterygii), Mugua (Fructus Chaenomelis), and Niuxi (Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae)—alongside the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) indomethacin and piroxicam. Developed by Hainan Boda Pharmaceutical (later acquired by Fangsheng Pharmaceutical), this combination is indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and various acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions. It exerts its therapeutic effects by combining the wind-dampness dispelling and circulation-promoting properties of the herbal components with the potent cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibition and anti-inflammatory actions of indomethacin and piroxicam.
