Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compound Schizonepeta is a traditional Chinese medicine external wash, formulated as granules for fumigation and washing. Its active ingredients include a combination of several herbs: Schizonepeta, Saposhnikovia divaricata, Phryma leptostachya, raw Aconitum carmichaelii, Ajuga decumbens, raw Aconitum kusnezoffii, and Sophora flavescens. This compound preparation is primarily indicated for various anal and perianal conditions, such as external hemorrhoids, mixed hemorrhoids, prolapsed internal hemorrhoids with incarceration, anal fissure, perianal abscess, acute anal fistula, and perianal eczema. It is also used for alleviating symptoms like swelling, pain, dampness, itching, prolapse, and excessive secretions associated with anal diseases, as well as for postoperative care. The drug is for external use only, and due to the presence of highly toxic raw Aconitum species, oral administration is strictly forbidden.
