Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Comy Syrup is an over-the-counter and prescription oral combination medication developed and manufactured by KOLON Pharma. It is formulated as a sweet, strawberry-flavored syrup primarily used to relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, and sinusitis in pediatric and adult patients. The syrup contains two active pharmaceutical ingredients: chlorpheniramine maleate, a first-generation histamine H1 receptor antagonist that reduces sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes, and phenylephrine hydrochloride, a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist that acts as a nasal decongestant by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages.
