Overview

Concentrated growth factor (CGF) is an autologous platelet concentrate developed by Sacco in 2006. It is obtained from venous blood through a specific differential continuous centrifugation process without using anticoagulants. CGF contains a fibrin-rich matrix with activated platelets, leukocytes (including CD34+ stem cells), and various growth factors such as TGF-β, VEGF, PDGF, EGF, and others. It serves as both a scaffold for tissue regeneration and a continuous delivery system for growth factors, promoting healing in various applications including facial rejuvenation, wound healing, bone regeneration, and dental/oral surgeries.
