Overview

Concert VR Radiopaque Bone Cement is a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA)-based acrylic bone cement developed by Advanced Biomaterial Systems, Inc. It is specifically designed and FDA-approved for use in kyphoplasty procedures to treat vertebral compression fractures. The product is a two-component system consisting of a powder (pre-polymerized PMMA) and a liquid (methyl methacrylate monomer) that, when mixed, undergo an exothermic polymerization reaction to form a hard, stone-like material. It includes radiopacifier agents to ensure high visibility under X-ray imaging during the injection process, allowing for precise placement within the vertebral body to provide structural stabilization and support.
