Confo PTHR1 agonist is a small molecule drug candidate being developed by Confo Therapeutics for the treatment of hypoparathyroidism. The program utilizes Confo's proprietary ConfoBody technology, which employs camelid-derived single-domain antibodies (nanobodies) to stabilize G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) in their active state, enabling the discovery of high-affinity small molecule agonists. By targeting the Parathyroid Hormone Receptor 1 (PTHR1), the drug aims to mimic the action of endogenous parathyroid hormone (PTH) to restore calcium and phosphate homeostasis.
