Overview

Connectasyl is a nutraceutical dietary supplement developed by Ghimas S.p.A., specifically formulated to support joint health and maintain the structural integrity of connective tissues. It is a combination product containing glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate, and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). Glucosamine and chondroitin are essential structural components of articular cartilage that work synergistically to stimulate the synthesis of the extracellular matrix and inhibit degradative enzymes such as leukocyte elastase and hyaluronidase. Ascorbic acid serves as a vital cofactor for the enzymes prolyl and lysyl hydroxylase, which are necessary for the proper cross-linking and stabilization of collagen fibers. Connectasyl is primarily used as a supplement for individuals suffering from osteoarthritis or joint wear to improve mobility and reduce tissue degradation.
