Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Contrakel is a topical scar care cream developed and manufactured by Pharmadab. It is classified as a medical device intended for the treatment and prevention of hypertrophic and atrophic scars, as well as keloids resulting from surgery, burns, acne, frostbite, or other injuries. The formulation contains a combination of active ingredients including vitamin A, urea, cholesterol, and allantoin. It works through a multi-level mechanism: providing a protective film to increase skin moisture content, promoting skin regeneration, and facilitating gentle massage to improve blood flow and soften scar tissue.
