Convalescent Plasma from COVID-19 donors, developed by Fundación Arturo López Pérez (FALP), is a biologic therapy consisting of plasma collected from individuals who have recovered from COVID-19. This plasma contains polyclonal antibodies, primarily immunoglobulin G (IgG), directed against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and other viral antigens. As a form of passive immunotherapy, it aims to neutralize the virus and mitigate the inflammatory response in patients with severe COVID-19 or those at high risk of progression, such as oncology patients. The therapy was evaluated in the FALP-COVID trial (NCT04384588), a multicenter Phase 2/3 study conducted in Chile.
