Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ConvaNiox is a topical nitric oxide-generating formulation developed by 30 Technology and partnered with Convatec for the treatment of chronic wounds and wound infections. The product utilizes a proprietary platform to generate and deliver a controlled release of nitric oxide (NO) directly to the wound bed. Nitric oxide serves a dual therapeutic role: it acts as a potent, broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent effective against bacteria (including biofilms and antibiotic-resistant strains), fungi, and viruses, and it functions as a critical signaling molecule that promotes physiological wound healing. By inducing vasodilation, modulating inflammation, and stimulating tissue repair mechanisms, ConvaNiox supports the resolution of hard-to-heal wounds. It is available in gel and liquid formats and has received regulatory approval for clinical use in wound management.
