Coolet-D

Coolet-D is a combination pharmaceutical product developed and marketed by Healthon Lifesciences. It contains rabeprazole sodium, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), and domperidone, a dopamine antagonist. Rabeprazole works by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system (the gastric proton pump) in the parietal cells of the stomach, thereby reducing gastric acid secretion. Domperidone acts as a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, which increases the motility of the upper gastrointestinal tract and provides anti-emetic effects by blocking the chemoreceptor trigger zone. This combination is primarily used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, particularly when symptoms of nausea or vomiting are present.
