Overview

Coolprotik-Forte is a probiotic and prebiotic formulation developed by Miotic Pharmaceuticals, primarily used for the management of gastrointestinal disorders and the restoration of healthy gut flora. The Forte version typically contains a combination of the probiotic yeast Saccharomyces boulardii (250 mg), Lactic Acid Bacillus (Bacillus coagulans, 100 million spores), and Zinc Sulphate (7.5 mg). It is indicated for the treatment of acute infectious diarrhea, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and traveler's diarrhea. The mechanism of action involves the competitive exclusion of pathogenic bacteria, the production of antimicrobial substances (such as lactic acid and proteases), and the modulation of the host's intestinal immune response. Zinc is included to support intestinal epithelial integrity and reduce the duration and volume of diarrheal stools.
