Copper Cu 64 anti-CEA monoclonal antibody M5A is a radiopharmaceutical agent composed of the humanized monoclonal antibody M5A targeting carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), conjugated with the positron-emitting radioisotope copper-64. Upon administration, the M5A antibody specifically binds to CEA-expressing tumor cells. The attached Cu-64 enables detection and quantification of these cells using positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. This agent is primarily used for diagnostic imaging in patients with CEA-positive cancers such as colorectal cancer and medullary thyroid cancer[1][2][3][4]. The mechanism of action involves specific binding to CEA on tumor cells followed by PET-based visualization.
