Copper Cu 64-DOTA-A2DM is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic imaging agent developed by City of Hope Medical Center. It consists of the positron-emitting radioisotope copper-64 (64Cu) conjugated via the chelator DOTA to a modified antibody fragment (A2 scFv-Fc2 DM) that specifically targets Prostate Stem Cell Antigen (PSCA). PSCA is a cell surface protein highly expressed in pancreatic cancer and other malignancies but with limited expression in normal tissues. The agent is utilized in positron emission tomography (PET) to detect and image PSCA-expressing tumors, particularly in patients with locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer. This imaging approach facilitates patient selection for PSCA-targeted therapies and allows for the non-invasive monitoring of disease status and treatment response.
