Drug intelligence / Profile preview
COR32 (also known as COR32_1_C2) is a human monoclonal antibody being developed by the University Hospital of Cologne for the prevention and treatment of BK polyomavirus (BKPyV) infection and associated complications, such as polyomavirus-associated nephropathy (PyVAN) in kidney transplant recipients. Isolated from memory B cells of kidney transplant recipients, COR32 targets the major capsid protein VP1 of BKPyV. It exhibits potent cross-neutralizing activity against all major BKPyV genotypes (I-IV), making it a promising therapeutic candidate to prevent premature graft function loss in transplant patients.
