Overview
**Corbevax** is a recombinant protein-subunit vaccine for prevention of COVID-19, developed and manufactured by Biological E. It contains 25 micrograms of recombinant SARS-CoV-2 spike receptor-binding-domain protein produced in *Pichia pastoris*, formulated with the CpG 1018 Toll-like receptor 9 agonist and aluminum hydroxide adjuvants. Intramuscular immunization presents the viral RBD antigen to induce neutralizing humoral and cellular immune responses directed against SARS-CoV-2. The product received emergency-use authorization in India and has been listed by the World Health Organization for emergency use.
