This combination cell therapy, developed by LongevityBank, utilizes gamma delta (γδ) T cells and natural killer (NK) cells derived from umbilical cord blood for the treatment of various cancer types. These specific immune cell populations are characterized by their innate ability to recognize and eliminate tumor cells in a non-MHC-restricted manner, which potentially allows for 'off-the-shelf' therapeutic applications with a reduced risk of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) compared to conventional αβ T-cell therapies.
