Overview

CORDStrom-col7a is a next-generation, systemic cell therapy candidate being developed by INmune Bio in collaboration with Anthony Nolan. It is a mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC) therapy derived from human umbilical cord tissue, specifically engineered or selected to address Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (RDEB). The therapy targets the underlying genetic deficiency of the COL7A1 gene, which encodes type VII collagen, a protein essential for anchoring the epidermis to the dermis. By providing a systemic source of functional collagen VII, CORDStrom-col7a aims to improve skin structural integrity and mitigate the severe blistering and wounding associated with RDEB.
