Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CoreA Therapeutics is developing a HER2-targeted chemoimmunotherapy candidate utilizing its proprietary Targeted Chemo-Immunotherapy (TCI) platform. This therapeutic approach involves engineering natural killer (NK) cells to function as both active immune effectors and delivery vehicles for cytotoxic payloads, effectively combining the mechanisms of cell therapy and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). The therapy is designed to target the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) on solid tumors. By loading NK cells with a chemotherapeutic payload, the treatment aims to deliver high concentrations of the drug directly to the tumor site while simultaneously leveraging the NK cells' innate ability to recognize and lyse malignant cells, potentially enhancing efficacy in the immunosuppressive microenvironment of solid tumors.
