Corenza C

Corenza C is an over-the-counter combination medication developed and marketed by Adcock Ingram for the symptomatic relief of colds and influenza. It is formulated as an effervescent tablet containing paracetamol (650 mg), phenylephrine hydrochloride (10 mg), and vitamin C (250 mg). Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic effects by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, primarily within the central nervous system. Phenylephrine acts as a nasal decongestant by stimulating alpha-1 adrenergic receptors, leading to vasoconstriction of the blood vessels in the nasal passages and reducing mucosal swelling. Vitamin C is included as a nutritional supplement to support the immune system during infection. The product is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, fever, and nasal sinus and Eustachian tube congestion associated with respiratory tract infections.
