Overview

Corlicyte is an allogeneic cellular therapy composed of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from the umbilical cord lining. Developed by CellResearch Corporation, the therapy is primarily investigated for the treatment of chronic, non-healing wounds, specifically diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). The cord lining-derived MSCs (CL-MSCs) are characterized by their high proliferative capacity and their ability to secrete a potent array of cytokines and growth factors that facilitate tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and promote angiogenesis. The product is manufactured under cGMP conditions by ClinImmune Labs at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, as part of a collaboration to obtain US FDA approval.
