Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Coronatix is a brand name for a COVID-19 vaccine, specifically associated with the inactivated virus vaccine technology. It is designed to stimulate an immune response against SARS-CoV-2 by introducing chemically inactivated virus particles into the body. These particles are unable to replicate but retain the structural proteins, such as the spike protein, necessary for the immune system to recognize the pathogen. Upon administration, antigen-presenting cells process the viral proteins and trigger the production of neutralizing antibodies and T-cell responses. This modality is a traditional vaccine approach used to provide broad protection against the virus and its variants by exposing the immune system to the entire virion rather than a single protein.
