Coroxane

**Coroxane** is a novel, solvent-free, albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel (nab-paclitaxel), developed as a cardiovascular therapeutic by Abraxis BioScience (later acquired by Celgene). It leverages nanoparticle albumin-bound technology to deliver paclitaxel locally for preventing restenosis following coronary or peripheral artery interventions, aiming to reduce vessel re-narrowing without the toxicity issues of solvent-based taxanes. Originally part of Abraxis' cardiovascular franchise, it was in mid-stage clinical trials for coronary and peripheral artery restenosis as of 2008, with potential optimization post-acquisition.
