Corsodyl Original Dentifrice

Corsodyl Original Dentifrice is a specialized therapeutic toothpaste developed by Haleon (formerly GSK Consumer Healthcare), containing a high concentration of 67% w/w sodium bicarbonate and 0.31% w/w sodium fluoride (providing 1400 ppm fluoride). It is specifically formulated for the management of gingivitis and the reduction of dental plaque accumulation. The mechanism of action involves the physical disruption of the dental plaque biofilm by sodium bicarbonate particles, which facilitates plaque removal during brushing and neutralizes acidic metabolic byproducts of oral bacteria. The sodium fluoride component promotes the remineralization of tooth enamel and provides protection against dental caries. Clinically, it is used to reduce gingival inflammation and bleeding, which are hallmark symptoms of gum disease.
