**CORVax12** is a prophylactic DNA plasmid vaccine candidate developed by OncoSec Medical Incorporated in collaboration with Providence Cancer Institute and researchers from the NIH's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. It encodes the SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) glycoprotein, a highly conserved consensus sequence based on early viral isolates, delivered via electroporation using the IGEA CLINIPORATOR® device into the dermis to enhance uptake and immunogenicity. Combined with pIL-12 (tavokinogene telseplasmid), it aims to drive a coordinated Th1-biased immune response, including neutralizing antibodies, CD8+ and CD4+ T cells, and NK/macrophage activation, leveraging the skin's antigen-presenting cells for robust cellular and humoral anti-viral protection against COVID-19.[1][7][13]
