Cotadutide is an investigational dual agonist of the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R) and the glucagon receptor, developed for subcutaneous administration. It is a synthetic peptide designed to mimic the actions of both GLP-1 and glucagon, hormones involved in glucose and energy metabolism. Cotadutide lowers blood glucose by enhancing insulin secretion, delaying gastric emptying, and promoting weight loss.
