**CoTIL-01** is a gene therapy product consisting of autologous tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) genetically engineered to express a co-stimulatory receptor (CoStAR). The therapy is designed to enhance immunologic cytotoxicity and provide T lymphocyte replacements, with the aim to boost anti-tumor immune response. It was developed for administration to patients with platinum-resistant ovarian carcinoma, and possibly other cancers and related diseases. The developer and originator is Instil Bio (UK) Limited, incorporating technology initially from Immetacyte. Its highest phase reached was Phase 1/2, but development for platinum-resistant ovarian carcinoma was discontinued[1][7].
