Overview

**Cotsiranib** is Sirnaomics' locally administered, polypeptide-nanoparticle-formulated small interfering RNA therapeutic previously developed as **STP705**. The investigational product contains two siRNA oligonucleotides designed to silence messenger RNA encoding transforming growth factor beta 1 and cyclooxygenase-2. By reducing expression of these mediators, cotsiranib is intended to suppress profibrotic and inflammatory signaling, alleviate TGF-beta-1-associated immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment, and reduce COX-2-associated tumor proliferation, angiogenesis, and metastatic signaling. It has been studied by intralesional, intradermal, intratumoral, and subcutaneous administration for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma in situ, basal cell carcinoma, hypertrophic scars, keloid recurrence prevention, liver malignancies, and localized fat reduction.
