Overview

BridGene Biosciences is developing a covalent small molecule inhibitor of CBLB (Casitas B-lineage lymphoma proto-oncogene B) for the treatment of solid tumors. CBLB is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that functions as a critical negative regulator of T-cell and NK-cell activation; its inhibition is a strategy in cancer immunotherapy to promote an anti-tumor immune response. The candidate was identified using BridGene's IMTAC™ (Isobaric Mass Tagged Affinity Characterization) chemoproteomic platform, which screens covalent small molecules against the whole proteome in live cells. As of the latest reports, the program is in the lead optimization phase of preclinical development.
