Overview

**Coviccine Trivalent XBB (WSK-V102C)** is a recombinant protein vaccine developed by WestVac BioPharma using an Sf9 insect cell platform. It targets SARS-CoV-2 by incorporating receptor-binding domains (RBDs) from XBB.1.5, BA.5, and Delta variants fused to the spike protein's heptad repeat (HR) domain, forming stable trimeric particles adjuvanted with a squalene-based oil-in-water emulsion. Primarily indicated as a booster for COVID-19 prevention in adults aged 18+, it elicits broad neutralizing antibodies against diverse Omicron sublineages including XBB descendants, JN.1, and BA.2.87.1, with demonstrated 93.28% protective efficacy against XBB.1, XBB.1.5, and XBB.1.9, and an excellent safety profile.[2][3][4]
