COVID-19 convalescent and vaccinated plasma

COVID-19 convalescent and vaccinated plasma refers to plasma collected from individuals who have both recovered from natural SARS-CoV-2 infection and received vaccination against COVID-19. This plasma contains high titers of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2, which can provide passive immunity to recipients through direct viral neutralization and Fc-dependent functions such as phagocytosis, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity. It is most effective when administered early in the disease course and is particularly beneficial for immunocompromised patients who have difficulty mounting their own immune response.
