Drug intelligence / Profile preview
COVID-19 human immunoglobulin is a plasma-derived biologic candidate developed by Weiguang Biological Products for the treatment and prevention of COVID-19. It consists of purified, concentrated antibodies (immunoglobulins) harvested from the plasma of donors who have recovered from COVID-19 or have been vaccinated, containing high titers of neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. The therapeutic is designed to provide immediate passive immunity by directly neutralizing the SARS-CoV-2 virus, thereby preventing its entry into host cells and potentially reducing viral load and disease severity. The program was identified through research and development disclosures and patent filings by the sponsor, although it has not been formally listed on their primary commercial pipeline page.
